CARD 02 — The Scream | Feel It Deck Meaning, Ritual, and How to Use It

🪶 CARD 02 — THE SCREAM

Holy Practice

"I’m still learning not to apologize for my voice. But today, I let it be louder than the sorry."

What This Phase Is

The Scream is the sacred yell. The ‘too-much’ finally allowed.
It’s what happens when grief backs up in the pipes and rage starts dancing on your chest.

This phase says: Say it.
Don’t soften it. Don’t shrink it. Don’t spiritualize it into a tweet.

Your body holds thunder.
Your scream is not noise. It’s data. And it wants out.

And if a “sorry” tries to sneak out with it?
Bless it, spit it out, and let it fly.
Because this isn’t the phase where we apologize for having vocal cords.
This is where we learn: “Sorry” is not a personality. It’s a reflex we can molt.

Ritual: Holy Howl

What to Do:
Find a semi-private spot—your car, a closet, the bath with the fan on.
Set a timer for 90 seconds.

Let out whatever sound wants to come out:
A growl, a groan, a cartoon squeal, even a whispered “ENOUGH.”

Bonus: Get your body involved.
Punch a pillow. Kick the air. Stomp like a banshee in a sacred tantrum.
Let it leave through sound and spine.

Optional: Write “I’m sorry” on a scrap of paper, kiss it goodbye, and rip it mid-roar. Loui approves.

Spell to Say

"I will not carry what I can cry.
I will not hold what I can howl.
I will not fake quiet to keep the peace.
I release ‘sorry’ from my vocabulary, and replace it with breath.
My voice is a spell. My volume is a rite."

Crow Truth

You’re not too much.
You’re just full—and finally letting the cup spill on purpose.

If they can’t hold the sound of your truth,
they don’t deserve the silence that came before it.

Timing Cue: You’re in The Scream when:

  • You clench your jaw to survive small talk.

  • You sob in the shower and apologize to the drain.

  • You say “I’m sorry” for having emotions, needs, or a body that takes up space.

  • Someone says “What’s wrong?” and you almost say “everything.”

  • Your dreams get loud.

Today’s Invitation

Let yourself make one sound that isn’t polite.
Then notice how your body feels after.
That’s the medicine.

Bonus: Catch yourself mid–"I'm sorry" and replace it with a breath or a “thanks for waiting.”
Watch your spine shift.
