How I Practice Chaos Magick as a Modern Mom

🔮 Chaos Magick for Moms Who Don’t Have Time to Meditate

-What to Do When Your Toddler’s Screaming and the Moon’s Full

The Magick’s Out of the Bag

So, here’s the truth: I’m a chaos magician.

I didn’t plan to say that out loud. I didn’t think I’d be writing about sigils while sweeping snack crumbs or talking about spellwork with a toddler clinging to my ankle. But here we are.

I wear food stains and blackout tattoos. I summon timelines while Funtastic TV loops in the background.
And somehow… my magick still works. Better than ever.

If you’ve ever wondered if it’s too late to start a spiritual practice...
If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to feel magickal, but I can barely finish my coffee…”

This post is for you.

🌀 I Didn’t Study Magick. I Felt It. (And He Studied It for Us Both)

The universe whispered to me in gut feelings, dreams, déjà vu, and patterns I couldn’t name.

But I didn’t start calling it magick until I met my husband.
He’s the deep diver—the kind of person who can quote Crowley before coffee and light a candle with precision because he’s read why it matters, some in Hebrew too.

I was lucky.
He brought the books. He built the bridge.
I got to learn vicariously—watching someone I love navigate the ancient systems with awe and devotion.
And I wanted that too.

But I’m not a bookworm. I’m not wired to sit still and decode Hebrew or spend hours in complex textwork.
So instead of fighting that, I made peace with it.

I let the structure inspire me.
I let the bones of tradition become my compass, not my cage.
And I started building spells that worked for my nervous system.
In English. In my own voice. In the ten minutes I had between diaper changes and existential dread.

What Even Is Chaos Magick (to Me)?

It’s not randomness. It’s reclamation.

Chaos magick says:

“You don’t need permission to practice power. You already are.”

It’s about using what works.

  • Want to chant in the car while your kid’s asleep in the back? That’s a ritual.

  • Want to draw sigils on your wrist in eyeliner? Magick.

  • Want to write your spell as a text you never send? Welcome to the coven.

This practice isn’t neat. It’s true.
It bends with me. It breathes with me.
And it shows up even when I feel like I can’t.

🍼 How I Make Magick as a Mom

My toddler sees me whispering to candles and talking to the moon.
He already makes his own rituals.. Bless all his animal friends with the bubble wand.

That’s the real magick.

Magick as daily parenting survival:

  • A shield spell before social visits

  • A three-second aura cleanse walking through a door

  • Saying no without guilt and calling it protection

We’ve been practicing for years—but now it’s different.
I’m not hiding it anymore.
I’m a magician with a diaper bag and a livil sigils tattood on my skin.

And the magick? It’s working.
For me. For him. For all of us.

Tiny Rituals That Actually Fit Your Life

I don’t have time to charge twelve crystals under a blood moon while burning ethically harvested rosemary.
But I do have time for:

  • A one-word incantation whispered before answering a stressful text

  • A sticky note sigil on my fridge

  • A clapped-hand banishment of intrusive thoughts

  • A deep breath spell called “I’m not losing myself today”

This isn’t pretend. This is survival.
This is reparenting, rebuilding, and remembering that I’m allowed to feel powerful again.

🧹 What’s Next (and Why I’m Sharing This Now)

I’ve been quiet about my practice.

I’m realizing now: the world doesn’t need more “perfect witches/magicians.”
It needs real ones. Exhausted, holy, food-stained ones.
Ones who are showing up for their kids and their truth.

I’m building a system for people like me:

  • Sacred but overwhelmed

  • Sensitive but sarcastic

  • Ready to shift timelines, even if there’s laundry in the way

🖤 Closing Spell (Say it With Me)

I don’t need silence to be sacred.
I don’t need a title to be powerful.
I don’t need permission to cast.
I am not broken. I’m molting.

Want in?

Whether you’re a tired mom, a curious beginner, or a lifelong weirdo looking for something real—

If you just want someone to listen without fixing you—I’m here.

My Talk to Loui Crow page is always open.
It’s free. It’s sacred. It’s judgment-free.
